Guided Island Tour

The island tour lasts about 1½ hours and offers a physically engaging journey where you’ll explore the island’s history, culture, nature, museum exhibits, and ongoing science and research activities. The tour concludes with a visit to the museum church. The tour is conducted in Finnish. Prices for the tour:

Adults 13,00 €
Children (ages 3-12) 6,50 €
Family (2+2) 29,90 €

Visitors have free access to the main building, which was formerly a psychiatric hospital. In the hallway of the main building, there is a preserved single patient room from the psychiatric hospital era. The University of Turku’s Biodiversity Unit has opened an exhibition in the former library of the Archipelago Sea Research Institute. This exhibit highlights the hospital era of the island as well as the activities of the Archipelago Sea Research Institute.
